Anytime now Mr. Will...

I am on my second day of maternity leave, the house is spotless for the hundredth time, all clothes are washed and organized, bags have been packed for a month, and now we are just waiting....and waiting...

Today I had another doctor's appointment and they promised me "He can't stay in there forever!"  Nick and I chuckled, smiled and nodded as they again told us, "He will come when he is ready!" and then whispered all the way out to the car, "Do you think he'll ever come out?"  On a positive note, I am dilated to a 3 and 90% effaced and in perfect health!  Very planned and consistent, just like his mama, his heart rate continues to be 138 bpm and I suspect he will come on his due date, October 23rd.  Otherwise, they plan to induce me sometime next week!!

Despite the high anticipation of the birth of our baby boy, we feel truly blessed that he is healthy and strong.  This has been an amazing pregnancy and I have definitely enjoyed the miracle of the kicks and flutters throughout the past nine months.

Now, if we can just get daddy to settle down.  Nick has installed both car seats and has shook them to guarantee they do not budge when slamming on the brakes, personally tested the bottles to make sure that the milk flow is just perfect, and tells me plenty of facts off of his bookmarked site, "What to Expect When You are Expecting." He is going to be the best dad in the world, perhaps a bit protective, but definitely amazing!

Will Nicholas Martin is truly the miracle of a gift we have longed for and to hold him in our arms is incomprehensible.

Stay tuned...like the doctor says, "He can't stay in there forever!"
